Process Mapping for the University of Southern California (USC) Facilities Management Services (FMS) Organization (February 2008 - Ongoing)

  • In partnership with  of Chicago, IL and 5M Consulting of Glendale, California Hickling and Associate
  • Conducting extensive interviews with USC FMS personnel at all levels of the organization
  •  
    Developing process maps for all significant facilities management processes within the Facilities Management Services organization
  • Performing process and data analysis to provide recommendations for opportunities for process improvement 

Facilities Management Evaluation Program for Alcorn State University, Alcorn, Mississippi (March 2008)

  • In partnership with APPA (www.appa.org) and Hug Consulting and Management of Colorado Springs, Colorado
  • Performed comprehensive review and evaluation of all Physical Plant (Facilities Management) activities
  • Conducted extensive interviews with Alcorn State University Physical Plant personnel and campus customers at all levels of the organization
  • Evaluated organization operations in order to make recommendations for improvements
  • Provided report detailing all finding and recommendation

  • Comprehensive assessment of the cleaning services operations and organizational structure
  • Conducted extensive interviews with personnel at all levels of the organization including frontline employees and customer
  • Developed Custodial Services Improvement Program and delivered implementation plan

Facilities Management Staffing Analysis for the University of Chicago, Chicago, Ill (October 2008)

  • In partnership with Hickling and Associate  of Chicago, IL and 5M Consulting of Glendale, California performed a Facilities Maintenance Staffing Analysis and APPA FPI comparative analysis of the University's staffing levels compared to cohorts in the APPA FPI database.

  • Provided CleanOpsStaff/APPA Custodial Staffing Guidelines Training and CleanOpsStaff Implementation Support in including inventory file conversion and import at client site.


CleanOpsStaff/APPA Custodial Space Data Conversion and Import for the University of Toronto, Toronto, ON, Canada (January 2009)

  • Provided service to convert space inventory data to CleanOpsStaff/APPA standard format and imported it into CleanOpsStaff to assist U of T in evaluating its custodial staffing level.

Key Presenter at the University Caretaker Association of Canada Conference 2009 (UCAN-2009) in Toronto, ON, Canada (June 2009)

  • Served as the key speaker of UCAN-2009 for about 30 conference participants from Canadian Universities.  Made a 4 hour presentation on "Cleaning Workloading Using CleanOpsStaff" and Conducting Cleaning Audits Using CleanOpsStaff and PDAs.

Facilities Management Staffing Analysis for the University of Washington School of Medicine, St Louis, Mo (May-June 2009)

  • In partnership with Hickling and Associate of Chicago, IL performed a Facilities Management Staffing Analysis and APPA FPI comparative analysis of the University's staffing levels compared to cohorts in the APPA FPI database.

Conducted half-day seminar for 31 cleaning professionals in Grand Rapids, Michigan hosted by Nichols (August 2007)

  • Conducted half-day seminar on "Cleaning Workloading, Scheduling and Auditing Using APPA Guidelines/CleanOpsStaff package" and Conducting Cleaning Audits Using CleanOpsStaff and PDAs.

Key Presenter at the Big Ten and Friends Building Services Administrators hosted by Michigan State University (August 2009)

  • Made a 4 hour presentation on "Cleaning Workloading Using CleanOpsStaff" and Conducting Cleaning Audits Using APPA Guidelines/CleanOpsStaff package and PDAs.

Developed computer application for the University of Texas at Austin to track Facilities Management personnel (November 2009)

  • Developed a computed application that automated the tracking of personnel for the facilities management organizations at the University of Texas at Austin.  Eliminated the practiced of making multiple data entries into multiple data system by automatically importing data from varoius sources into oa single application.  Provided flexible report generation and information retreival capabilities. 


Key Presenter in APPA on-line Facilities Performance Indicators (FPI) Webinars (Throughout the year)

  • Served as presenter in APPA on-line Facilities Indicator (FPI) Webinars discussing the use of performance indicators/metrics to improve the performance of the facilities management portfolio at educational institutions.
  • Webinars are achieved on the www.APPA.org web site.


Provided training to the University of Texas at Austin facilities management staff for completing the APPA FPI survey (November - December 2009)

  • Conducted APPA FPI survey training for facilities management staff and reviewed the FPI survey data and provided assistance to the survey coordinator in completing the survey. 

Developed computer application for the University of Texas at Austin to track required training for over 1000 employees and over 15,000 training events (December 2009- January2010)

  • Developed a computed application that automated the tracking of personnel for the facilities management organizations at the University of Texas at Austin.  Eliminated the practiced of making multiple data entries into multiple data system by automatically importing data from varoius sources into oa single application.  Provided flexible report generation and information retreival capabilities. 

Facilities Management Cost and Staffing Analysis for the Joliet Junior Collage, Joliet, IL  (December - Present)

  • Performed Facilities Management Staffing Analysis and APPA FPI comparative analysis for the Joliet Junior College five campuses.
  • Used proprietary data collection tool to collect relevant information from the client.
  • Conducted client interface sessions via distance meeting technology and conduct all information exchange electronically eliminating the cost of travel and per diem
  • Used CleanOpsStaff, GroundsOpsStaff, and a proprietary software package to apply cost and staffing standards to the client’s facilities assets profile producing high quality analysis and data integrity.

Developing Grounds Operations and Staffing software package (Ongoing )

  •  Developing GroundsOpsStaff, a landscape/ground operations and staffing software program to be distrbuted by the APPA book store.  The software package will implement the APPA Operational Guidelines for Grounds Management book.  The package is expected to be release in Feburary 2010.


Developed a Computer Based Data Integrity Analyzer for APPA's Facilities Performance Indicators (FPI) Survey (Feb/Mar 2010)

  • Developed a computer application to check the APPA FPI survey for data itegrity.
  • Provide the highest level of confidence in data and reports in the of the history of the survey.
  • Eliminated the manual review of the data set by automating over 50 data cross checks in over 30 FPI reports
